Who We Are

Studio Sylona LLC ("Studio Sylona", "we", "us") designs and handcrafts jewelry and sells it through this website, studiosylona.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Orders and checkout. Checkout is handled by Shopify. When you place an order, Shopify collects your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number and payment details on our behalf. We never see or store your full card number. Shopify's handling of this data is described in the Shopify Privacy Policy.

Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form we receive the name, email address, optional order number and message you enter. This is stored on our server so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation, and a copy is emailed to us.

Site analytics. We run a small, self-hosted analytics tool to understand which pages are visited. It records the page viewed, the referring site, an approximate country derived from your browser's time zone, your device type (phone, tablet or desktop), and a random session identifier. Your IP address is hashed before it is stored and is used only to limit abuse; we do not keep the raw address. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracking.

Browser storage. Your cart and your preferences are kept in your own browser's local storage so they survive between visits. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us until you check out.

To process and ship your orders, and to contact you about them.
To answer your questions and requests.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
To protect the site against abuse and fraud.
To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked to receive it.

Who We Share It With

Shopify, which hosts our checkout and stores order records.
Payment processors chosen at checkout (for example Shop Pay, PayPal or card networks), which handle payment under their own privacy policies.
Shipping carriers, who receive your name and address to deliver your order.
Our web host and email provider, which store the site, the contact-form messages and our email.

We may also disclose information when required by law.

Cookies

This website itself sets no advertising or third-party cookies. It uses browser session storage and local storage for your cart, your session, and the analytics session identifier described above. The Shopify checkout sets the cookies it needs to complete your purchase.

Data Retention

Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and warranty purposes. Contact-form messages are kept until the matter is resolved and then periodically deleted. Analytics events are aggregated and old raw events are purged.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. Email contact@studiosylona.com and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of certain regions, including the EU, UK, California and Japan, may have additional rights under local law, which we will honor.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

International Visitors

Studio Sylona is based in the United States. If you visit or order from outside the U.S., including from Japan, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
