Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of studiosylona.com and any purchase you make from Studio Sylona LLC ("Studio Sylona", "we", "us"). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please also read our Shopping Guide, which forms part of these Terms.

Our Products

Every piece is handmade in our studio. Freshwater pearls, natural stones and hand-finished metal parts vary slightly in size, shape, color and markings; these variations are part of the character of handmade jewelry and are not defects. Colors on screen may differ from the actual item depending on your display.

Prices and Payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise. Prices may change without notice, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Checkout and payment are processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers; we do not store your card details. Sales tax, shipping charges and, for international orders, any import duties are added or charged separately as described at checkout.

Orders

An order is accepted when we send a shipping confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order for reasons including product unavailability, a pricing or listing error, or suspected fraud; if we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund it in full. Please check your shipping address carefully. We cannot be responsible for orders sent to an address that was entered incorrectly.

Shipping

We currently ship within the United States and to Japan. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in the Shopping Guide. International shipments may be subject to customs duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the package; if a package is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier on a claim.

Returns, Exchanges and Damaged Items

Because each piece is made by hand in small quantities, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons of preference or change of mind. If an item arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and photographs, and we will repair, replace or refund it. Items that have been worn, altered or damaged after delivery are not eligible.

Jewelry Care

Handmade jewelry is delicate. Please follow the care guidance in the Shopping Guide. Damage resulting from normal wear, improper care, exposure to water, chemicals or cosmetics, or accidental breakage is not covered.

Accounts and Site Use

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation or attempt to access areas of it that are not intended for you. We may suspend access to anyone who misuses the site.

Intellectual Property

All designs, photographs, text and other content on this site belong to Studio Sylona LLC or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The site and its products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio Sylona is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer-protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless applicable consumer law lets you bring it elsewhere.

Changes

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version here. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect when the order was placed.
